Pacquiao/Mayweather set a date

Photobucket

Manny Pacquiao agreed to the March 13th date for the fight of the decade against undefeated Floyd Mayweather. The fight will take place at the welterweight limit of 147 lbs. for Pacquiao's title. They agreed to a 50/50 split of the revenues which are expected to be the most in Pay-Per-View boxing history. According to ESPN.com, the fight will take place on March 13th because Pacquiao plans on running for a congressional seat in the Philippines and the elections are in May, which would have been a conflict of training and campaigning. Both fighters will wear 8 oz. gloves. The only part yet to be finalized is the venue. Of course, Las Vegas is an option, but two other possibilities could be the Superdome in New Orleans and the new Cowboys Stadium in Dallas.
