6 Eagles Headed to Pro Bowl

David Akers, Trent Cole, Asante Samuel, DeSean Jackson, Jason Peters and Leonard Weaver were selected to represent the Eagles in the Pro Bowl. Only Minnesota had more players selected with 8. We are happy for all the Eagles who made it, but are particularly feeling for Brent Celek and Sheldon Brown for being snubbed. Brent Celek has 69 catches and 8 TDs, but Jason Witten was selected over him. Witten has 88 catches, but only one TD. Vernon Davis was the other tight end selected and he definitely deserved it thanks to his breakout season. Sheldon Brown, after yet another solid season has yet to be invited to the Pro Bowl. Only three cornerbacks were selected and they all had better numbers than Sheldon (not by much and only in specific categories), but he is a guy who plays hard, plays injured, and is the type of guy you would love to have on your team. One day he'll get his invite and Celek will definitely have multiple Pro Bowl invites in the future. Attached is the link for the entire rosters and a breakdown by team.
