Comcast Sportsnet is reporting that the Philadelphia Flyers have fired head coach John Stevens. Stevens took over when Ken Hitchcock was fired 10 games into the 2006-07 season. The next year the Flyers won 42 games and Stevens was named Coach of the Year by The Hockey News. The Flyers are currently 13-11-1 and were shut out last night against the Vancouver Canucks.
