Christmas Basketball Wrap Up

Miami Heat-93
New York Knicks-87
In the first game of the day, Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat took down the Knicks in the Garden. Wade finished with 30, 9 and 5, and held on to win despite a run by the Knicks late in the fourth.

Boston Celtics-86
Orlando Magic-77
The Celtics improved to 13-1 on the road this season with a win in Orlando yesterday. Rajon Rondo had a double-double with 17 points and 13 dimes. Vince Carter led the Magic with 27 but it wasn't enough. The C's are now sporting the best record in the Eastern Conference.

Cleveland Cavaliers-102
Los Angeles Lakers-87
In the marquee matchup of the day, the Cavs took down the Lakers at Staples and it wasn't even close. Despite 35 and 9 from Kobe, the Cavs controlled the entire game. The real losers, however, were the LA fans who threw foam fingers and other paraphernalia onto the court when the game was in it's final minutes. I guess Philly isn't the only place where fans throw things? Video Below.

Los Angeles Clippers-93
Phoenix Suns-124
In the blowout game of the day, the Suns beat the Clippers by 31 in Phoenix. Amare Stoudemire had 26 points and the Suns just steamrolled the Clips from start to finish.

Denver Nuggets-96
Portland Trailblazers-107
The Blazers held on at home to beat the Nuggets thanks to 41 points from Brandon Roy who was sporting a thin brace on his left shoulder. Carmelo led the Nuggets with 32 points of his own in a losing effort.
