Placido Polanco is the latest former Philadelphia athlete to return to their old team. Polanco was introduced today as the newest member of the Phillies. They agreed upon a 3 year, $18 million deal. Polanco will fill the void at third base that was left vacant by Pedro Feliz entering free agency. Polanco is a career .303 hitter who had previously played 4 seasons in Philadelphia. He has not played third base since 2005. The Phillies were also rumored to have been looking at other free agent third basemen Mark DeRosa and Miguel Tejada.
