And Then There Was 1
The New Orleans Saints lost their first game of the season tonight against the Dallas Cowboys in the Superdome. The Cowboys won 24-17 behind a flawless game from Tony Romo and 2 rushing TDs from Marion Barber. DeMarcus Ware played inspired with 2 sacks and the game-winning forced fumble of Drew Brees. The Cowboys are 9-5 and move within a 1/2 game of the Philadelphia Eagles for first place in the NFC East. The Saints are still in first place in the NFC and in the driver's seat to get the number one seed for the playoffs. Brees was under duress most of the night and the high-flying offense was never able to get off the runway. Nick Folk, with a chance to ice the game with about two minutes left, missed a chip shot field goal, giving him multiple misses in big spots the last few weeks. It will be very interesting to see if he is still a member of the Cowboys come Monday. This leaves the Indianapolis Colts as the lone undefeated team in the NFL.
