The Rich Get Richer
At baseball's Winter Meetings, a blockbuster three-team deal has been agreed upon in principle that would see the defending champion New York Yankees add another all-star to their roster. The three teams involved are the Yankees, Diamondbacks and Tigers. The deal involves New York receiving All-Star outfielder Curtis Granderson, Arizona receives Tigers pitcher Edwin Jackson and Yankees pitcher Ian Kennedy, and the Tigers receive Max Scherzer and Daniel Schlereth from Arizona as well as Phil Coke and outfield prospect Austin Jackson. The deal is not finalized, therefore the general managers cannot speak on it, however Yanks GM Brian Cashman hinted that there is "a lot of noise out there."
