NFL Week 8 Sunday Wrap Up

Photobucket

This was a great week to show the parity in the NFL this season. We saw teams that we expected so much of (Dallas and Minnesota), fall even farther behind in their division, as well as see some surprise teams (Oakland, KC, St. Louis) continue to build on their solid starts.

Bye Weeks: Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Philadelphia, NY Giants, Baltimore.

Another Classic Randy Moss Press Conference

Above is video from Randy Moss' postgame press conference that featured a heartfelt farewell to all his Patriots comrades, shots at his coach's decisions and his reaction to getting fined $25,000 from the NFL this week for not talking to reporters. Randy clearly misses New England...and with the way things have unfolded this season for the Vikings, who can blame him. Click HERE for a complete transcript from the press conference. Add it to the archives of great Moss moments behind the podium.

Turkey? We Talkin' Bout Turkey?

On Friday, Allen Iverson made it official and signed with Turkish team Besiktas on 2-year/$4 million contract. Iverson, 35, following in the footsteps of Josh Childress and Stephon Marbury, has become the biggest NBA star to take his talents overseas.

Kevin Kolb/Mike Vick Remix

Never thought I'd hear Andy Reid's voice in Autotune.

Sixers Don't Sell-Out Heat Game

While a Sixers game not selling out is hardly newsworthy, this particular game actually surprises me. This game has been hyped since the schedule came out and if the team had any hope of selling out any games this year, this would be the game. Home opener, hyped super-team opponent, no-brainer right? Apparently not. I was shocked that I was able to find tickets this morning from the team directly, but once I got to the game I was surprised to find the stadium filled like it was a random Sixers/Warriors game in March. Then when I read what Henry Abbott of ESPN.com did in the second quarter had me almost embarrassed to be a part of the fanbase.

They Are Who We Thought They Were?

Photo from ProBasketballTalk.com

With the 2010 NBA season still in its infancy, I don't quite know what to make of the Miami Heat after two games, and I probably won't be able to figure them out for awhile. Are they immensely talented, absolutely. Do they have weaknesses, sure. So far in two games we basically saw what we were expecting in terms of how the games played out, without focusing on the final score. Both games played out predictably, so how much have we learned about LeBron, D-Wade and Co.?

Lebron James Nike Commercial

Here is the new Lebron James Nike commercial. Once again Nike puts together a great piece with Lebron opening up a little bit, poking a little fun at Sir Charles and promoting his new Lebron VIIIs in the process. Enjoy. Oh and we're back...
